4 x onramps this week. Consistent training 2-3 months now. Swim training today, first time in a few months. Noticed increased explosive power in butterfly. 30 mins sprints with recovery lengths. Started visualisation today with one of Coach Divine’s recordings. Not so strong here. Planning to return to judo and karate training by end of month.

Last day of the week complete. Went 2 not 3 rounds for baseline after 400m. Then went 2 not 4 on Stamina and scaled to 8,4 on cleanjerks and pull ups. Time constraints is the main reason and also taking a good amount of time to acclimatize to this training all over again. Great day! Get after it!

MastersWOD complete today minus 1 round of the work capacity. Time constraints and coming back slowly. Great day felt good and recovered after yesterday’s Ruck. Get after it!

Just realised this group exists. What a nice surprise! I’ve been doing the WODs on and off for a few years. My recent return about 2 months ago feels different. Mind and body are stronger than ever after a few challenging years. On Onramp at the moment, 4 days a week. I also run and do yoga and martial arts. Masters in exercise and sport…[Read more]

Life can be challenging, and we can get off track due to many things. I can relate to this and the fact I had to get re-motivated to get back to function. Martial Arts was the main reason for the pursuit of functional fitness. Take each rise from the bed as an opportunity of “I get to train, I get to do this!”

Thanks for your kind comment Cody. That advice is spot on! All the best with your training. I can see from your posts you’re crushing it!

Bright and Early this morning, up before the dawn. With a flash light in a low light setting, the work was done for the Masters WOD. Each Day bring a new beginning, each training session bring the routine of getting it done. Like and old friend, it is all coming back.

Improvise, Adapt and Overcome! Great start back since last Thursday. Had to work this in at work on my break and improvise movements/equipment available. This all brings me back to when I had to constantly do these things around life/work obligations! Retired from the Corps going on 6 years now, and coming back to who I am at the core of why I…[Read more]
