I am completing the first week of basic training and tomorrow’s training protocol calls for:
7 rounds, every 2 minutes do:
200m run*
max rep burpees*
Should that take 14 minutes or 28 minutes? Meaning: is it 200 m wait til the 2 minute mark, max burpees wait til the 4 minute mark (taking 28 minutes) or is it 200 m/max burpees in 2 minutes (taking 14 minutes)?

I would set up a timer for 2 minutes an then run 200m, I think this should take about or less 1,30 minutes after that I would do as many burpees as i can until the 2 minute timer rings, so I think it should take 14 minutes.

Well…I forgot to take 1 minute rest in between each round…so I went through it pretty quickly. It was difficult but fun. My score was 50 burpees. Not sure if that’s good or bad. But that’s what I got. If/when I do it again I’ll take 1 minute between each round. I felt I pushed myself hard but would’ve been able to go harder had I taken the rest time.
As far as the breathing goes, I’m working on getting myself into better shape. So my breathing goal right now is to just don’t die during the burpees! Breathing during the intense cardio sessions is something I need to focus more on.
Oh great, I now always make sure that I adapt my repetitions because of course you need more pause for more repetitions. But I understand well that the goal is simply not to die. 😉
